Our clinic provides the best ERCP Treatment. Doctors use ERCP to diagnose and treat pancreatic and bile duct problems. If your doctor suspects pancreas or liver disease, or a bile duct problem, ERCP may be performed. ERCP may also be performed to determine the cause of abnormal blood tests, ultrasound, or CT scan results, or to correct a problem discovered during one of these tests. Finally, ERCP can help your doctor decide if you need surgery and, if so, which surgery is best for you. A nurse may spray a local anaesthetic down your throat prior to the test. This will numb your throat, preventing choking and making you feel more at ease. Sedative medication will be administered to you via IV. You will be completely unconscious during the procedure if you require general anaesthesia for an ERCP. You will be lying on a table during the procedure while x-rays are taken. Your doctor inserts the endoscope into your mouth. They then transport it down your throat (oesophagus) to your stomach and the duodenum, the first section of your small intestine. The endoscope has no effect on your breathing, and you may even fall asleep during the procedure. If you are uncomfortable, it will most likely be minor. The air used by your doctor to inflate the duodenum, for example, may cause you to feel slightly bloated. You may feel minor discomfort when your doctor injects dye for x-rays.
